Suzanne Wright
Co-Founder – Autism Speaks
Suzanne Wright is the co-founder, with her husband, Bob, of Autism Speaks. After their grandson was diagnosed with autism in 2004, Suzanne and Bob sought answers to the myriad questions generated by the disorder. Since its launch, Autism Speaks has raised over $45 million and completed mergers with the Autism Coalition for Research and Education, the National Alliance for Autism Research, and Cure Autism Now, three of the nation’s most successful autism advocacy organizations. With her husband, Suzanne played a leadership role in urging Congress to pass the landmark Combating Autism Act, which was signed into law in December 2006. The Wrights live in Connecticut. They have three children and four grandchildren.
