Green Cleaning vs. Greenwashed: Tweet About Safer Cleaning Products!
Healthy Child
Wednesday, March 10, 2010
Join our on-line Health eFamily Thursday March 11th at 6PST as we discuss safer cleaning products. With increasing consumer awareness about toxic chemicals in cleaners, there’s been a growing market of “green” cleaners. But, some are better and some are simply greenwashed. Whether you know a lot or a little, join us to learn more.
• How to decipher product labels. What do terms like “eco-friendly,” “biodegradable,” and “natural” really mean? Are they regulated at all?
• What ingredients you should avoid. If you can’t pronounce the name, is it really bad?
• What kinds of preferable products are available. Can you find them cheaper on-line? Do the manufacturers offer coupons?
Get up to speed on non-toxic cleaning by reading Clean Up Time: Safe Suds and a Greener Clean, Chapter 2 of the Healthy Child Book!
Join us to share your stories and tips, and to learn from everyone else’s.
