Recycle Your Old Cell Phone for Cash

Healthy Child Healthy World’s alliance partner, Terrapass has partnered with RIPMobile, a cell phone recycling company that gives rewards for select cell phones. According to a recent article on TreeHugger, cell phones only have an average lifespan of 18 months – and with an estimated 3.25 billion cell phone users that’s a lot of phones ending up in our waste stream!
Check the list to see how much you can get for your old phone. Even if your phone is not on the list, RIPMobile will still accept it and recycle it for you – though you won’t receive any credit, you are still helping the environment! There are a number of other ways as well, check it out on TreeHugger’s list of 50 ways to recycle phones.

Thank you for the list. I have about 5 phones that I don’t know what to do with. If I can get some cash for them I would be a very happy man. Doesn’t hurt that we’re helping the environment as well. Thanks again.
