Tip 64: Kill Germs in the Bath
Mandy Geisler
Wednesday, November 29, 2006
To clean your tub and tile in your bathroom, all you need is a simple soap to kill germs. Mix 1 ounce of liquid castile soap with 8 ounces of water in a pail.
Use a rag and wash, followed by a rinse. Skip antibacterial soap.
Use of antibacterial products may lead to antibiotic resistance.
Also, the Triclosan, the leading antibacterial agent, may cause allergic reactions and has been found to be persistent in the environment. Hand soaps and liquid dish soaps are just as effective at killing bacteria.
