Tip 66: Mmm. That Smells Good

If you like a scented home but want to avoid the chemicals in scented air fresheners and other similar products, try adding citrus peel, cinnamon, cloves, or any herb or similar food item to a small pot of water. Heat on the stove to scent your home.

My favorite is orange slices with cloves in the fall/winter, and flower petals in the spring. Just make sure you don't let the water get too low.

It would also be a great use for lemon peels after juicing or cleaning. I often have too many to put down the drain, so using them this way is a great tip!
