Please join us for "What's Going On? Toxic chemicals in our toys, cosmetics and bodies." Healthy Child, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and the Environmental Working Group will expose the hidden dangers of chemicals found in our everyday environment and discuss simple solutions to avoid harmful exposures.
This event is open to the community and FREE (donations are welcome).

Christopher Gavigan, author of Healthy Child Healthy World, and our Executive Director will provide simple steps to reduce children's exposure to toxic chemicals.
Environmental Working Group will give a multimedia presentation about the 287 chemicals found in the blood of 10 Americans who participated in the study.
Stacy Malkan, author of Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industry, will read an excerpt about toxic chemicals in personal care products.
Why: Toxic chemicals contaminate every American's body and have been linked to serious health effects like cancer, reproductive problems and learning disabilities. Join us as we expose the hidden dangers of chemicals found in our everyday environment and find out what we can do as we discuss "What's Going On?"
Refreshments will be served and local companies that have signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics will be on hand with personal care product samples. This event is hosted by the Environmental Law Association and the Women’s Law Association of Southwestern University School of Law.
