To raise awareness of healthy child design and building standards and to raise money for the organization, developer Stanley Lerman has agreed to open this spectacular 5 star rated green home to the public for a fundraising benefit concert and week long home tour, with 100% of tour proceeds benefiting Healthy Child Healthy World.

In continuing our mission to educate the public as done in partnership with Jim Chuda's "Los Angeles Magazine 2005 Home of the year" and "project7ten" in October 2007, this contemporary house offers a blueprint for a nontoxic, healthy habitat - utilizing building materials and techniques that are protective of human health in addition to the environment. Excellent article, excellent approach to promoting a great cause and marketing an excellent product.  All the green living and green design and energy efficiency hoo ha will hopefully be second nature and commonplace for the next generation, the healthy children.  There have only been 50-some homes in Austin that have earned the 5-star green rating and only 20-some have ever come on the market; we have two of them on the market right now in the trendy 78704 zip at 904 and 908 Jewell.

The one major missing green ingredient in all the articles, books and programs that you promote is an efficient, effective non-ozone producing bi-polar ion system that will dramatically reduce mold spores (0ver 90% in 10 minutes), dust and allergens (over 85% in 15 minutes), bacteria and viruses (over 90% reduction in staphylococcus), all odors, volatile organic compound emissions such a formadehyde which comes from carpeting, pressed woods, fiberboard and plywood and other contaminants in your home and office.
All at a very economical cost for our induct systems or portable units.

Thanks for the update. We should all be raising awareness in regards to going green. Steps like these hopefully will help us get where we need to be in the future.

We have seen some green homes in the areas of north Houston. There was a big article how the professionals didn’t know how well they were going to do. However, sales have been much better than otherwise thought. I am happy we are making improvements.

There have only been 15 homes in Plano that have earned the 5-star green rating and only 10-some have ever come on the market; that number needs to go way up.  You cannot ever be TOO green!

All the green living and green design and energy efficiency will hopefully be second nature and commonplace for the next generation, the healthy children.  I know I am going to teach my child the benefits to the environment of being and living green.

My wife, Nancy, and I chose to put our energies into something positive, and spent the past five years constructing an all natural home using the safest materials on the market. Building an entirely green home, inside and out, epitomized our lives'  work in environmental activism. The house is an eco-friendly project highlighting holistic and ecological architecture with all materials, products, and furnishings that not only protect … Read More »
