Broccoli, Cheese and Potato Puree

By adding potato and cheese to this recipe, the broccoli incorporates beautifully and the resulting puree has a smooth texture that’s perfect for babies. In addition, the cheese provides a healthy dose of dairy, making this dish a superstar!

Make It:

1. Place the potato cubes in a steamer pot over boiling water and cook for 6 minutes.

2. Add the broccoli and steam for an additional 4 minutes or until vegetables are fork tender.

3. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and puree.

4. Serve.

Clean it:

Potatoes are one of the most chemical intensive crops utilizing a slew of toxic pesticides and fungicides. Definitely opt for organically grown potatoes for wee ones.

Green it:

Potatoes may seem like a mystery crop, but they are actually easy to grow in containers. Growing your own also gives you the opportunity to experiment with different varieties like gorgeous Purple Majesty Potatoes. Watch this video showing how to grow potatoes in a trash can!

Make it fun:

Set up a baked potato bar for the rest of the family! Steam extra broccoli or other veggies, put out bowls of cheese, sour cream, fresh cut chives, and anything else your family craves. It’s an easy, fun, and individually personalized dinner.
