Make it:
1. Preheat oven to 375º F.
2. Grease a 13″”x9″” baking pan.
Filling:
1. In a large bowl, combine the apples, lemon juice, and water. Toss apples so that all the apples get the lemon juice on them.
2. Stir in the cinnamon and sugar.
3. Pour apples into the baking pan and spread evenly.
Cake:
1. In a mixer cream together the Organic Valley Butter and sugar.
2. Stir in the apple sauce, powder milk, Organic Valley Eggs, honey, vanilla, and maple flavoring. Beat for 2 minutes.
3. In a large bowl combine the flours, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon.
4. Add to butter mixture alternating with the Organic Valley Milk. Blend until combined.
5. Pour batter over apples.
Topping:
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugars, and cinnamon.
2. Cut in the Organic Valley butter.
3. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the cake.
4. Bake for 40-60 min until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
5. Serve warm or cold.
6. For an added touch, serve with homemade cinnamon or vanilla ice cream.
Clean It:
Try whole grain wheat flour; the texture is similar to white all-purpose flour in texture and taste, but it also has a load of fiber and nutrition.
Green It:
Once refrigerated, save energy by serving this apple cake cold, straight from the fridge. On a hot summer day, this can be really refreshing!
Make It Fun:
