California Baby was born when Jessica Iclisoy, developer and president, decided to start a family. She immediately began altering her lifestyle to create a healthy environment for her future children to grow. She even went as far as becoming a vegetarian and eating only organic foods. Her main focus in life switched to leading an eco-conscious and green lifestyle that she could instill in her children.
Once this California girl had her first child, she set out to find a safe shampoo to use on a newborn. When she couldn’t find what she was looking for, she decided to create her own. Jessica was not new to the benefits of living close to nature as she grew up alternating summers on a family farm where she harvested vegetables and learned about the importance of being eco-conscious, and spent time body surfing the waves of Southern California beaches, which enforced the need to respect Mother Nature.
After researching ingredients, Jessica began mixing up natural and safe formulas right in her own kitchen. The result was not just one organic and nontoxic shampoo, but the creation of an extensive collection of completely natural personal care products for babies, kids and adults with sensitive skin called California Baby.
Since its inception in 1995, California Baby has grown to become a best-selling line and is highly recommended by leading pediatricians and dermatologists. Celebrity moms such as Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Katie Holmes, and Courtney Cox, to name a few, have also become fans of the brand.
