When pesky fleas hop a ride on a pooch or kitty, pet owners often rush out to buy sprays, flea collars, powders, foggers, and bombs, or have the vet dunk the animal in flea repellent.

I am interested in trying this out but I am unsure about how well or how long it would work. I live in Australia, near bush, which has a huge amount of fleas, with two dogs and I spend a fortune on flea protection. I am very conscious of chemicals in our house but also very worried about being infested with fleas??

Does this also work for ticks?

I have also read that putting a bit of vinegar in their drinking water keeps fleas away. Has anyone tried this? Does it work?
