readily biodegradable

Environmental specifications are directed at biodegradability, which are expressed in terms of percentage of a product, which will degrade in a specific length of time. Readily biodegradable products refer to materials that are quickly decomposed into harmless byproducts, while “inherently” biodegradable basically means they will eventually biodegrade.

repellent

A substance that drives away or repels pests, such as insects and birds. Common repellents include those used to repel mosquitos and ticks.

rodenticide

A substance which kills rodents, such as mice, rats, groundhogs, etc. They come in several forms, such as baits, powders and granules, and gases that are used to fumigate burrows where rodents live.
