10 Craft Ideas to do With Bear Coloring Pages

Framed Wall Art

This project is bear-y easy!

Print out your favorite bear coloring page and design any way you please. Once you’re finished, pop it into any unused frame and hang it on the wall.

If you need to build a frame, we can surely do that too!

You’ll want to use popsicle sticks along the outer edges of your picture. Trim the sticks to fit where it’s necessary (adults – help young children with this part). Once you have your frame how you’d like, glue the popsicle sticks into place. You can use a pop can tab or looped piece of string glued to the backside to be able to hang on the wall. Or, add some magnets to hang on the fridge!

DIY Bear Banners

This project is unbearably cute for a nursery or playroom!

Print out and color as many different bear coloring pages as you’d like. Once you’re finished, simply flip the pages over and tape them together so they form one big banner. You can hang on the wall using tape or poster tack.
For some special touches, add glitter, gems, stickers, or ribbons to your bears.

Bear Gift Wrap Paper

Headed to a party, but don’t have a cute bag to give your gift in? I’ve got you!

Use these bear coloring sheets to DIY some wrapping paper and add an extra touch of love.

Print off as many coloring sheets as you need to completely wrap around your gift. (Regular printer paper will work just fine for this!)

Color or paint each coloring sheet. Once you’re done having fun, flip all pages bear-down and tape together.

Now you can wrap your special gift as you would with store bought paper. The receiver is sure to feel extra fuzzy inside when they see it!

Bear-Themed Bookmarks

Have you ever been in the middle of reading a book and started to feel a little sleepy? Time to mark your spot and head to bed! What better way than to make your very own bookmark using a fluffy sleep champion – a bear!

Print off your fave bear coloring page (this will work best if you scale the image down in size). Design as you wish. Once you’re finished, cut your bear out and glue him/her to a piece of cardstock. Jazz it up a bit using glitter, gems, ribbon, stickers, etc.

(Let dry completely before placing between pages to avoid damage!)

Cute Bear Coaster

This idea would make a nice gift for any bear-loving friend or family member.

Choose a few different coloring page designs and let your imagination flow. (Print them as close to 4in x 4in as you can.)

Cut each image out and glue onto a wooden square. Seal with something such as ModPodge on all sides/edges to prevent any damage from the wetness of cups. (TIP: Add a little glitter to your ModPodge before applying to really make your project shine.)

Customized Bear Greeting Card

This project will be sure to put a smile on any parent or grandparents face!

Print off any bear design below. Color. Once finished, use the blank spaces to write your greetings.

If you wish to make a folding card, scale the image size prior to printing so it fits on just the right half of the paper. Fold the left side under so your bear is on the front. You can now use the inner part of the card to write.

(TIP: Use cardstock so your card is sturdier and can stand on its own!)

Animal Party Masks

Having a camping themed birthday party for your child? Better let some little bears run wild!

This project can double as a party activity for the ones in attendance.

Prep the activity by picking one of the bear face coloring pages below. It’s best to print them onto cardstock. Cut out each bear and the eye areas so the wearers can still see.

Make small holes on the left and right sides and thread some string through the holes.

Let the kiddos design their mask in any way they wish! Once they’re complete, simply tie the mask around their heads.

Be sure to say “Grrrr” for the group pic!

DIY Bear Puzzle

Put your paws to work and create a puzzle that you can do over and over again!

Pick out and color any of the bear options below.

Once you’re finished, you’ll need to draw a pattern that you can cut out and fit back together over and over. It’s best to draw this pattern on the back so you don’t ruin your bear friend!

(TIP: Print on cardstock to make your puzzle a little bit sturdier.)

(DOUBLE TIP: Use a puzzle that you have  that’s similar in size and trace those pieces instead to make this project go even quicker!)

Bear-Themed Table Mats

Remember that camping party I mentioned? This is another super cute decoration and activity to add to that!

You can either pre-make these table mats or set them out as an activity to keep the little cubs busy.

Print off a variety of different bear coloring pages. If you can, use 11×18 paper to mimic the size of an actual place mat. Have markers, colored pencils, crayons, or paint available to add texture to the bears.

If you’re designing before, you can customize each table mat by adding names to them.

(TIP: Laminate each mat so they can be a keepsake instead of thrown away after eating on them!)

Bear-Themed Notebook Covers

This activity will be easy and quick if you use a notebook that has a blank cover.

Choose any bear that suits your style and do just that – give him/her some style! Add googly eyes for an extra bit of fun.

Cut out and glue the bear to the front of the notebook.

If you need to create your own notebook – take several sheets of copy paper or lined paper and fold them in half hamburger style. Place staples in the fold. Continue to make the cover as described above.

Teachers: This is a neat way to allow students to write their very own bear story as part of a class project!
