Get involved by Hosting a Healthy Home Party.
Healthy Child Healthy World and LUNA share in your passion for creating healthy environments for children and families. We would like to help you raise awareness and action through community education. With the information we provide, you will be able to educate and empower your family, friends, schools, and community to protect children’s health and development from common contaminants we are exposed to every day. YOU can make a big difference and inspire those around you to take Easy Steps to create safer and healthier living environments.
Our 'Creating Healthy Environments for Children' DVD, detailed handouts and our website are informative resources for you to review while you prepare for your Healthy Home Party. Use them to familiarize yourself with this important issue.
To get you started:
- Write an email to mandy@healthychild.org to sign up for ONE of our Healthy Home Party Kits. Our Party Kit is not necessary for you to host a Healthy Home Party. With the information you find here you will be well equipped. Please note, that we do not ship outside the US.
- Download the file on how to host a party.
- Ask for help. Ask friends or family members to help organize /promote the event. Ask knowledgeable members of your community to be guest speakers (doctor/pediatrician, organic farmer, natural food store owner, Whole Foods Manager, etc.)
- Use HCHW’s 5 Easy Steps to structure your event.
- Start the event by showing the DVD, which you can purchase from our Healthy Child Store and provide an overview of these steps (pls. note: the DVD also includes bonus material such as checklist, etc which you can open from your computer and print for your event). Then review each step in detail, answering questions along the way.
- After your event we would appreciate it if you would share your experience with us.
